I know many of you have been waiting to hear about sports at the middle school level. As of today, January 15, here is what I can tell you regarding sports at Webber and in PSD. Our spring sports season is still a go at this time. That means that girls softball, boys and girls golf, and track are slated to happen right now if conditions continue to allow. As we all know, conditions can change rather quickly, so please stay connected to Webber for the latest sports updates.
So, it is with excitement that I am here to tell you that SportsEngine registration and Schoolpay for Girls Softball will open on February 1st and stay open until March 5th. Please make sure your sports physicals are up to date and we have a copy of them on file in our office. Mrs. Schmieden (499-7804) can help with any questions you may have with the registration process.
Protocols and guidelines to participate will be coming soon. Please stay tuned to our website for more details!
Golf and track information will be coming as those seasons get closer. As for other sports, I do not have anything else to share at this time.
Finally, I want to thank you all for your support and patience during these challenging times. As I have stated before, as the Athletic Director I believe sports play an integral part in a child’s life. Our coaches and I want sports back as much as anyone else. I also want to ensure that our athletes, coaches, and spectators are protected, and safe at events.
We will be back, and I believe that time is on the horizon.
Webber Middle School
The Registration "Webber Middle School" is not currently available.
My name is Patrick Kind and I am the Athletic Director for Webber Middle School. Webber is very fortunate to have a very robust athletic program. I want to welcome you to middle school athletics and share a few bits of information about our programs. Over the past couple of years the district has moved to an online registration process for athletics. In the paragraphs below you will find the information and links needed to get registered for sports. I have also included some information for our sixth grade families to help them navigate these new waters. If at any time you need assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Schmieden or myself. We’re here to help. Thanks for your support of Panther Athletics.
Our teams are very competitive and have also been recognized for outstanding sportsmanship. During your sixth grade school year, boys and girls can participate in three sports and I would highly encourage them to get involved! It’s a great way to meet students and staff plus you get the added benefit of physical exercise! But before you can participate in sports please make sure that your child has a current physical on file with the school, and all athletic fees have been paid. Athletic fees can be paid via school pay (see the link below). In the fall, sixth graders can participate in cross country. Marc Long is the head coach and he can be reached at (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions. The other two sports that sixth graders can participate in during the school year are during the spring sports season and they are track, and boys and girls golf.
To complete the registration process please read below:
All middle school students participating in PSD Athletics must complete the https://www.psdathletics.org/msreg. To do this please scroll to the bottom of the page and create an account with Sports Engine. Keep in mind that online registration still requires families to submit a hard copy of the physical form, complete with a doctor signature. The physical is valid for 365 days and expires one year from the original date of completion. It is recommended that you being to think about making appointments for your yearly physical exam as soon as possible. Athletic registration also includes a fee of $120.00 (per student, per sport). Payments can be made via https://psdschools.schoolpay.com./ or with a check payable to Webber Middle School. The registration process and payment of ($120.00) must be completed prior to the first official practice/tryout. IF they are not complete the child will not be allowed to participate until all paperwork is completed.
