The athletic office hours are 8am - 4:00pm.
Season Begins on 11/10/25 for Ice Hockey
Season Begins on 11/17/25 for Boy and Girls Basketball, Girls Swim, Boys and Girls Wrestling
Season Begins on 12/1/25 for Nordic Ski
Season Begins after Winter Break for Unified Basketball

ATHLETIC REGISTRATION INFORMATION
If you are a Home Base/Charter/Private School Student you must have a placement letter on file with the PSD Athletic Office (Lori Willadsen-lwilladsen@psdschools.org). Complete the paper registration packet and submit all forms in person to the PSD school where you will compete athletically.
You must complete the following steps at the start of each new season or sport to receive a practice card.
1- Bring in a paper copy of your current physical to Cindy Smith in the Athletic Office. Please do not email or Fax. (A physical is good for 365 days and valid for all sports throughout the school year). The physical forms can be found on psdathletics.org
2- Complete online registration through Sports Engine. (Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on continue).
3- You can pay on School Pay (bring in a copy of your receipt) or you can pay at the school with our bookkeeper.
4- Cindy will check your classes and grades to make sure you are eligible for your season.
All 4 steps are required to receive an Orange Card. You will not be allowed to try out or participate if all 4 steps are not complete for each season.
Athletic Participation Fees (no family maximum)
**Home Base/Charter/Private School students-fee is not waivable**
If a student athlete is not offered a spot on a team, the athletic fee will be reimbursed in full.
Students who meet federal guidelines for the free or reduced lunch program will have the participation fee waived. You must register every year for the waived fee and then go to your parent view and fill out the "permission to share" form. Once these 2 steps are complete, it could take 10 days to go through the system. If you have been approved to have your fees waived, you still need to process your payment through school pay. (It will show up as $0.00 due).
Eligibility
Eligibility will be checked at the beginning of each season. Fall eligibility is determined in August based on spring semester grades earned. Athletes identified as failing two or more classes during spring semester will be ineligible for fall sports until the regain date.
PHS checks athletic eligibility on a weekly basis. Athletes identified as failing two or more classes will be declared ineligible and will lose one week of eligibility, beginning on the following Monday through Saturday.
ALL athletes must be taking at least 25 credits in the current semester while participating in a sport and must have earned 25 credits the previous semester.
THIS PROCESS MUST BE DONE FOR EACH SPORT AND EACH SEASON.
