All middle school students participating in PSD Athletics must complete  the PSD Middle School Sports Registration Process below.  Follow all steps to fully register your child for sports at Kinard.   Keep in mind that the online registration process still requires families to submit a hard copy of the physical form, complete with a doctor signature.  Please remember that students cannot participate in any athletic summer camps or practices at Kinard until coaches have the medical release form signed by a doctor.   It is recommended that you begin to think about making appointments for your yearly medical/physical exam well in advance of the season, so you have plenty of time to see a doctor to obtain a signature before the sport begins.  In addition, athletic registration also includes a fee of $140 (per student, per sport).  Payments can be made via SchoolPay or with a check payable to Kinard Middle School.  

Follow the steps below to complete the registration process:

1. Register Online - Create an account by clicking continue at the bottom of this page or login at the top of the page if you already have an account. 

2. Complete Required Annual Physical Exam Form

• In addition to the online registration, a physical examination by a doctor and a hard copy of the physician signature form needs to be submitted in the office prior to participation.
• All physicals are valid for 365 days and expire one year from the original date of completion.  This step must be completed annually.
• Students cannot participate in any athletic practices or tryouts at Kinard until coaches have the medical release form signed by a doctor.
• If you do not have access to a doctor and are in need of a sports physical, the Health and Wellness Center offers annual well-child exams and sports physicals. 

3. Payment of the $140 Participation Fee (per sport) and $70 Unified Basketball

• Payment is due prior to the first day of practice/tryouts.
• Payments can be made online via SchoolPay or with checks made payable to Kinard Middle School. 
• For cut sports, refunds will be issued for students who do not make the final roster.
• Do you qualify for waived fees?  You can submit a request for waivers here.  Once you have qualified for waived fees you must log into ParentVUE, click on forms, and click permission to share under your child’s name. This allows us to waive the athletic fee.
  • PLEASE NOTE: If you are on waived fees you still must complete payment through SchoolPay.  To do this, log in to SchoolPay, select your child's sport, add that sport to the cart, and it will be processed at $0.00 dollars due.  This step is required to clear an athlete for participation for our records.

Please Note: Kinard does not accept any Home-Based, Charter or Private School Students for athletic participation.  Since Kinard serves a 100% school choice population with no neighborhood enrollment boundaries, students who do not attend Kinard must register for sports at the site listed as their neighborhood school according to their home address (PSD Policy).

Sports Physicals
