This registration session will allow you to complete contact information and sign up for participation. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.
If you are a Home-Based, Charter or Private School Student, you must register in person with the PSD school where you compete athletically.
Important-After completing online registration and paying the athletic fee through SchoolPay, bring your current physical to the athletic office to be cleared for participation. Current physicals must be turned in before athletes will be cleared to participate. A physical is good for 365 days and valid for all sports throughout the school year. Physicals cannot be uploaded or completed online.
If you choose to complete online registration, you will receive an email confirmation. Once online registration is completed you will have the option to pay the fee either with a credit card or cash/check. Cash and check payments must be delivered to the school athletic office or bookkeeper.

Welcome to the 2018-19 School Year!
My name is Patrick Kind and I am the Athletic Director for Webber Middle School. I wanted to welcome you to middle school and share a few bits of information about athletics. Some of the registration process has changed this year and we wanted to help provide some information to help with this new process. I have also included some information for our sixth grade families as they are new to the Panther Family. I hope you find this information useful but if you need any help please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Schmieden or myself.
Webber is very fortunate to have a very robust athletic program. Our teams are very competitive and have also been recognized for outstanding sportsmanship displayed by our athletes. During the sixth grade school year boys and girls can participate in three sports and I would highly encourage them to get involved and participate. It’s a great way to meet students and staff plus you get the added benefit of physical exercise! But before you can participate in sports please make sure that your child has a current physical on file with the school, and all athletic fees have been paid. Athletic fees can be paid via school pay (see the link below). In the fall, sixth graders can participate in cross country. The other two sports that sixth graders can participate in during the school year are during the spring and they are track, and boys and girls golf.

All middle school students participating in PSD Athletics must complete the https://www.psdathletics.org/msreg. To do this please scroll to the bottom of the page and create an account with Sports Engine. You now have the option to register your child for sports online using https://poudreathletics.sportngin.com/register/form or https://cdn3.sportngin.com/attachments/document/0153/9241/2018-19_MS_Check-out_Forms.pdf to complete by hand. Keep in mind that online registration still requires families to submit a hard copy of the physical form, complete with a doctor signature. The physical is valid for 365 days and expires one year from the original date of completion. It is recommended that you being to think about making appointments for your yearly physical exam as soon as possible. Athletic registration also includes a fee of $105.00 (per student, per sport). Payments can be made via https://psdschools.schoolpay.com./ or with a check payable to Webber Middle School. The registration process and payment of $105.00 must be complete prior to the first official practice/tryout or students will not be allowed to participate.
Coach Long and Gillis will be having a 2 day basketball camp for girls planning on trying out for girls basketball. The camp will be December 17th and 18th (Monday / Tuesday), from 3-430 pm both days. In order to participate you will need a current physical on file with the front office. In addition, please dress accordingly to include gym shoes, shorts, and a bring a water bottle. This will be a great opportunity to get started on practicing skills and to know what to work on over the Holiday Break. If you have any questions, please see Coach Gillis in room B18, or Coach Long in room B23.
The season begins Jan. 8th. Tryouts will be Jan. 8, 9, 10. Please log in to your sportsengine account and choose Girls Basketball as the winter sport. If you don't have an account yet please go online to psdathletics.org and create one. The Dr. physical clearance will still need to be turned in to the front office. The 105.00 fee must also be paid before tryouts. If you don't make the team you will be refunded within a couple of days. The Wrestling team begins their season right after the holiday break. Webber will host a Pre-season Wrestling camp from Tuesday January 8-11. The camp will meet in the cafeteria from 2:45-4:30 each day. Wrestling is a no-cut sport and the pre-season camp is a good way to try it out and see if you like it! The camp is free! Each wrestler must have a sports physical form on file in the front office in order to participate. Participants will need: shorts, t-shirts, and wrestling shoes (if you have them).
The official first day of regular wrestling practice will be Monday January 14th. The sports fee must be paid before you start your first regular practice. Regular season practices are from 2:45-5:00 each day (please have your ride home by 5:15)
We have 16 weight classes from 75-275 lb. and wrestlers only compete against others in their weight class.

Boys Basketball season begins October 22, 2018
ATTENTION ALL 7TH AND 8TH GRADE BOYS PLANNING TO TRY OUT FOR BASKETBALL. TRYOUTS BEGIN RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL AT 2:50 PM IN THE MAIN GYM ON MONDAY OCTOBER 22ND. TRYOUTS LAST ONLY 3 DAYS FROM OCTOBER 22ND TO 24TH. IN ORDER TO TRY OUT, YOU NEED TO HAVE COMPLETED THE ONLINE REQUIREMENTS, COMPLETED A PHYSICAL, AND PAID $105. YOU CANNOT TRYOUT UNTIL YOU GIVE THIS BLUE CARD TO THE COACHES. IF YOU DO NOT MAKE THE TEAM, THEN YOU WILL RECEIVE A REFUND FOR THE $105 FEE.

THERE IS NO PRE-SEASON CAMP. THE FIRST OFFICIAL DAY OF THE SEASON IS OCTOBER 22ND.

WEBBER CROSS COUNTRY
Webber cross country is a fall sport that is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls. Cross country is a no cut sport and all athletes compete equally. Cross country will practice every school day from 2:50-4:30 pm. We understand that many athletes who are interested in cross country may be involved in other fall sports at the club level (soccer, lacrosse, etc.). Webber cross country is flexible and we are willing to work with all athletes. We have had great success in the past working with any athlete that wants to give cross country a try. We will do a variety of workouts throughout the season to prepare our athletes for the 6 meets that we will compete in this year. Each meet will consist of a boys race and a girls race. Runners will race on courses that are between 2-2.5 miles. Meet dates this season are:

If your athlete joins the cross country team, locations and meet start times will be provided the first week of official practice (August 22-24).
A preseason conditioning camp will be held at Webber from 3 pm-4:30 pm on the following dates: Wednesday, August 15, Thursday, August 16, Friday, August 17, Monday, August 20, and Tuesday, August 21. We will meet by the flagpole in front of Webber during the preseason camp. We encourage all interested athletes to attend the preseason camp. Our practice schedule is as follows. We will have a pre-season camp starting on Tuesday, August 14th through Tuesday, August 21st
from 3:00 to 4:30. This camp is optional (but recommended) and players can come whichever days they are available. Required practices will begin on Wednesday, August 22nd. We will have practice every weekday unless we have a match. At first, everyone will practice together from 3:00 to 4:45 (although there may be some Boys only and Girls only days). Once we split into Varsity and Junior Varsity, Varsity will practice from 3:00 to 4:45 and Junior Varsity will practice from 4:30 to 6:00. On the days that Varsity has a match, the JV coach may choose to practice earlier if they don’t also have a match.

There will be no camp prior to the beginning of the season. Both sports will begin practices on Wed. Aug. 22 from 2:45-4:45. All students must have a current Dr. Physical on file in the main office and also have the registration completed at psdathletics.org, and the fees paid either in the main office or online at psdschools.schoolpay.com.
