PHS Winter Sports 2024-25

1st Official day of Spring Sports is February 17th for Boys Volleyball and Girls Swim and February 24th for all other Spring Sports.

NEW THIS YEAR!  To be "cleared to play", you must do the following:   

1- Bring in a copy of your current physical to Cindy Smith

2- Complete online registration

3- Bring in a copy of your receipt of paid fee 

4- Your athletes name will go on the "orange card roster" that coaches have immediate access to; to verify all your paperwork is up to date. 

THE ATHLETIC OFFICE WILL BE OPEN 8am - 4:30pm

Athletic Participation Fee

PHS Students $205.00 per sport no family max   Nordic Ski $205.00 pay as you go

Charter/ Home or Private School Students $305.00 per sport no family max Nordic Ski $305.00 pay as you go

Payment of athletic fee is required in order to receive an Orange Card. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIAPTE IF YOUR FEE IS NOT PAID IN FULL BEFORE TRYOUTS! If a student athlete is not offered a spot on a team, the athletic fee will be reimbursed in full. Students who meet federal guidelines for the free or reduced lunch program will have the participation fee waived.

Eligibility will be checked at the beginning of each season. Fall eligibility is determined in August based on spring semester grades earned. Athletes identified as failing two or more classes during spring semester will be ineligible for fall sports until the second week in October.

PHS checks athletic eligibility on a weekly basis. Athletes identified as failing two or more classes will be declared ineligible and will lose one week of eligibility beginning on the following Monday through Saturday.

ATHLETIC REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Please see instructions to complete Online Registration

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information and sign up for participation. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.  If you are a Home-Based, Charter or Private School Student, you must register in person with the PSD school where you will compete  athletically.   

Important-After completing online registration and paying the athletic fee through SchoolPay, bring your current physical to the athletic office to be cleared for participation. Current physicals must be turned in before athletes will be cleared to participate.  A physical is good for 365 days and valid for all sports throughout the school year. Physicals can be  emailed to nmichele@psdschools.org

When you complete online registration, you will receive an email confirmation.  Once online registration is completed you will have the option to pay the fee either with a credit card or cash/check.  Cash and check payments must  be delivered to the school athletic office or bookkeeper. 

PSD Non-Charter Student Fees: 

• All Sports fee: $205 per sport
• Boys Ice Hockey: $205 plus up to $1,000 additional fee
• Unified Sports: $100  per sport
• Nordic Skiing: $205 plus 'pay as you go'

Home-Based, Charter and Private School Student Fees:

• All Sports: $305 per sport
• Ice Hockey: $305 plus up to $1,000 additional fee
• Unified Sports: $150 per sport
• Nordic Skiing: $305 plus 'pay as you go'
